A knitting pattern for nine more Christmas trees to add to your miniature forest. They can be left as they are or decorated. They are perfect for making baubles, hanging ornaments, garlands and other decorations.
The trees are knit flat and if using Cascade 220 yarn and 4mm needles are approximately 10cm (4 inches) tall. If you use a different yarn and/or needles the size may differ.
You will need:
Cascade 220 yarn, about 7g per tree, in Forest Green (8267), White (8505) and Brown (8686). For the robin a small amount of Tan (1208) and Christmas Red (8895). 4mm (US 6) knitting needles. A tapestry needle. Toy stuffing. For the robin: a small amount of black embroidery thread and a sharp sewing needle. For the cable tree: a cable needle. Optional: decorations such as sequins, beads, small buttons, sleigh bells, coloured yarn, ribbon or embroidery thread.
Techniques you should be familiar with before using this pattern:
Knit and purl. Increases and decreases. Sewing seams using mattress stitch. Knitting stripes (for the Snow-Layered Tree). Intarsia (for the Robin Tree).
