Item details

I made this dress from a pattern like this in the late 80s, and I felt so glamorous in it! This wasn't my pattern, but it was really fun to run across it again.

And don't forget - Msr. Givenchy was Audrey Hepburn's favorite designer. You can channel her elegant style and grace when wearing this beauty!

The collar is a little tricky, but it's so wonderful once you've made it that it's worth the time to do it right.

(In case it's hard to tell from the image, the dress buttons center front and then carries a wide belt)

The envelope is in extremely good condition with only a few folds or handling wrinkles. The pattern and instructions are complete except that the pattern piece (#15) for the belt lining is missing. It's a piece that you can easily reproduce if you've got experience with sewing.

Condition is Very Good vintage.

Note that due to time constraints, I only ship two or three times a week. If you need something shipped more quickly, please contact me first to be sure that I'm able to meet your needs so that neither of us is disappointed.

I will ship to most countries, but if you're not certain please feel free to contact me before you purchase. Unfortunately, insurance through the US Postal System is not available except at the most expensive shipping rates for mailing internationally.

If my shipping cost estimate was over the actual cost by more than $2.00, I will refund the overage to you.

I'm happy to combine shipping for items if you purchase them at the same time.


Payments

I accept payment via PayPal and Etsy Direct Checkout.

If you choose to cancel a purchase before I've shipped it, I will refund your full purchase price plus any shipping fees that you've paid. Cancellations after shipping will be handled on a case by case basis, and please convo me for a solution.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
My items are sold 'as is', in vintage, pre-owned and / or used condition. I try to describe any problems that I find, and I will only refund if I have grossly misrepresented the condition or size of an item. In this situation, I will refund only after the item has been returned to me (and received) in the condition that it was shipped in.

Etsy policy requires that Sellers be responsible for refunds due to shipping loss or damage. Given this reality, I am adding appropriate insurance to all shipping prices in order to protect both of us. For Priority Mailing, this would mean any item valued over $50 US. (As I am selling unique items, I'm not able to offer an identical or similar replacement, obviously.)

In the rare case that your parcel arrives damaged, or the item has been damaged in transit, you MUST take photos of the damage and upload them for me ASAP, in order for me to file an insurance claim. I'm sorry, but no photos = no refunds.
