Item details

It must be the boat neck and bracelet length sleeves, combined with the three button front closure, that makes me think of sunny afternoons on the Cape watching the sailboats skim by as you sip iced tea or a spritzer.

This sleeveless charmer, made up in a white pique, would be just the thing. Or choose the more covered up style in a soft wool crepe and you’ll be ready for a cool evening breeze on the terrace overlooking the bay. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Multiple darts gently control the shaping from bust to hip, and the dropped waist adds an air of insouciance. I guess that you could refer to this as a ‘wiggle dress’, but it doesn’t look quite that self-conscious to me.

Vintage sizes typically run smaller than modern sizing. Please check your measurements before making your purchase. I will try to describe the pattern and condition as best I can, but I don’t offer refunds on patterns or other papergoods. Therefore, feel free to ask questions before you decide to purchase.

Bust 32
Waist 25
Hip 34
Back length 16

I didn't see a date on this but I'd say very late 50s or early 60s. It has never been used, and is still in factory folds. It looks as though it just came from the store!

Condition is Like New vintage, NOS

Note that due to time constraints, I only ship two or three times a week. If you need something shipped more quickly, please contact me first to be sure that I'm able to meet your needs so that neither of us is disappointed.

I will ship to most countries, but if you're not certain please feel free to contact me before you purchase. Unfortunately, insurance through the US Postal System is not available except at the most expensive shipping rates for mailing internationally.

If my shipping cost estimate was over the actual cost by more than $2.00, I will refund the overage to you.

I'm happy to combine shipping for items if you purchase them at the same time.

Payments

I accept payment via PayPal and Etsy Direct Checkout.

If you choose to cancel a purchase before I've shipped it, I will refund your full purchase price plus any shipping fees that you've paid. Cancellations after shipping will be handled on a case by case basis, and please convo me for a solution.

Returns & exchanges
I gladly accept returns
Contact me within: 7 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 14 days of delivery
I don't accept exchanges or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
My items are sold 'as is', in vintage, pre-owned and / or used condition. I try to describe any problems that I find, and I will only refund if I have grossly misrepresented the condition or size of an item. In this situation, I will refund only after the item has been returned to me (and received) in the condition that it was shipped in.

Etsy policy requires that Sellers be responsible for refunds due to shipping loss or damage. Given this reality, I am adding appropriate insurance to all shipping prices in order to protect both of us. For Priority Mailing, this would mean any item valued over $50 US. (As I am selling unique items, I'm not able to offer an identical or similar replacement, obviously.)

In the rare case that your parcel arrives damaged, or the item has been damaged in transit, you MUST take photos of the damage and upload them for me ASAP, in order for me to file an insurance claim. I'm sorry, but no photos = no refunds.

Additional policies

If you are purchasing with a deadline in mind, please check with me first to be sure that I can accommodate your needs. It will save disappointment on both of our sides. (For instance, holiday or birthday gifts, film shoot, rehearsal needs, etc.)
