Emporia Rose Appliqué Quilts. Barbara Brackman, Karla Menaugh. History & Patterns for Rose Kretsinger's Masterpiece Quilts. Full-color, full-sized patterns for classic applique & quilting.
Emporia, Kansas was home to master quilters who created some of the twentieth-century's most memorable appliqué quilts. Emporia Rose Appliqué Quilts by Barbara Brackman & Karla Menaugh gives you everything you need to make your own interpretations with full-size patterns for applique, sets and quilting plus history of Emporia's creative explosion and biographies of Rose Kretsinger, Charlotte Whitehill.
Projects include a nine-block appliqué sampler of their timeless designs, which makes an excellent Block of the Month. Simpler projects include a table runner, wool pincushions and an updated pillow. We encourage you to mix and match patterns for your own masterpiece quilts.
The smaller projects are designed for beginner applique artists while the sampler and the large quilt projects will give stitchers with medium and advanced skills a good start on a prize-winning project.
The full-color book published by C&T Publishing is a 64-page book with two large pattern foldouts of full-size designs. The books are new from the first printed edition. We'll autograph them for you.
