This is 100% Buffalo (American Bison) that was hand collected and hand processed prior to being spun. There is a lot of work involved in this as the shed fiber is usually dirty with a lot of debris, requiring it to be washed several times and the sticks and leaves picked out. But when you feel it, you will understand why it is worth the effort, as the end result is a soft, springy, luxury yarn spun as a sport weight two ply yarn.
You are buying a skein of luxury yarn that is approximately 100 yards of two ply. The skein weighs approximately 27-28 grams. This hand spun yarn is a lovely deep chocolate color This is also available in other sizes and I can spin more of this yarn if you want to do a larger project. This is the opportunity to own some American history using fiber that has been used since the early times.
