Handspun yarn is a true delight to work with; watch the colors undulate and make your work sing! If you've only ever worked with commercially spun yarn, you'll find that using handspun will bring out a new joy in your craft.
7.1 oz/201 g 436 yards/399 m 2-ply, DK Weight (11wpi)
2-ply yarn is an all-purpose yarn, best suited for stockinette and lace items. The structure of 2-ply really makes lace shine. The large yardage here would be perfect for a child's sweater, a large shawl or scarf. Try knitting/crocheting from both ends to create a cool striped effect or just from one end for a traditional gradient/dip-dye look.
Merino wool is ultra soft, and suitable for next-to-skin items. This is superwash merino, which should be able to withstand harder washing, though I still recommend hand washing.
Fiber dyed by Spunky Eclectic in Maine Handspun in Silicon Valley with my trusty Ashford Traditional wheel.
Yarn is spun in a cat friendly home. The cats are not allowed in the fiber, but those with extreme sensitivities should be aware.
