LIONS 'n TIGERS 'n BEARS-- I was watching one of my favorite movies, The Wizard of Oz, and thought 'What a great name for a color way"! So the name came before the colors this time. Lion gold, deep browns, blacks and copper. There are elements resembling lions mane and tiger stripes. Very subtly though. Your yarn won't read as an animal print...unless you want it to! This kit is very special- it comes with 1/2 oz of 13" teeswater locks. A yarn from this color way must have tails!!
Each Fiber Fusion Kit is designed to fire your creativity!! Excellent for Spinners, Felters, Weavers, or MultiMedia artists.
Each colorway is my own blend of vibrant colors and textural elements. All fibers hand-dyed by yours truly!
Your kit will contain 5 oz of hand-dyed fiber that's a nice mix of fluffy fine wools and stunning locks... I USE PREMIUM FIBER- N o skirtings. A little bit about my fiber choices... -My dyepot (or pan or jar- I use many techniques!!) always contains a generous amount of Teeswater and/or Wensleydale locks. Nothing compares to the luster and depth of color of these beauties. -I also use a rich assortment of other locks, such as Cotswold, English and Border Leicester, Gotland, Mohair, BFL to name a few. -A small batt or piece of matching roving is included in the kits. -Silk components add texture and interest. Silk ribbons, tissue thin hankies, throwster, sari waste are common add-ins. -Angelina for a little sparkle...
Spin art yarns or feature yarns, to weave them into your wall hangings, purses. If you knit or crochet, trim a sweater or a hat or scarf... Also great kits for felting. Try one of these kits and you will be hooked!!! Guaranteed!
The bowl in the photos is 15" across and 5" deep. It holds approximately 10 oz. So if you want the quantity that you see, order two!
I do custom orders as well. If you only want certain types of locks or fiber, or a different quantity than offered here, send me a message. I also make matching roving, art batts, art yarn, and in each color way. Just ask!
