This is for those times when you want to give a gift card, but you want to personalize the gift a bit. Because, unicorn!
We all have them. Those friends and family who don't really want you to buy them anything. They're quite happy with a small bit of plastic with money attached. But if you want to make it more of a gift, you can put it in something cute. Like a unicorn.
The unicorn is hand crocheted with a bit of embroidery for the face. Open the arms and there's a slot for the gift card to fit in. (Gift card not included.) Of course, you could put other things in that slot, like a credit card, a debit card, or business cards. What you (or your recipient) does with the unicorn after is entirely up to you.
(This would be the best thing to regift, too. Especially if you're always giving gift cards.)
The piece stands about 8 inches tall, and it is mostly flat (except for the unicorn's horn which does stand up). As this is a handmade item, there might be some slight differences from the item pictured.
The unicorn gift card holder was designed by the talented One Dog Woof, and you can find the pattern (if you wish to make one yourself) at http://www.1dogwoof.com/crochet-unicorn-gift-card-holder/.
