**Reclaimed/recycled yarn:** Yarn has been reclaimed from unraveled thrifted sweaters. I only select sweaters that have been gently used and cared for (not dirty, faded, or felted). All sweaters are thoroughly hand-washed prior to processing back into yarn. I do not add knots, and remove any that I find during unraveling. I may miss a knot from time-to-time, but my goal is to provide only knot-free skeins. Once reclaimed, yarn is washed again and hung (unweighted) to dry. Weighting the yarn would remove more kinks, but would also remove some of the natural springiness in the fibers. Some waviness may remain, but it does not impact the final result of a knitted/crocheted item. Most reclaimed yarn consists of separate strands that are not plied together - please see pictures for a close-up of each yarn. Yardage is estimated - I try to be conservative in my estimations to ensure you receive at least the amount expected.
