Ever walk into a quilt shop wanting one of everything? Ever stare at a piece of fabric in your stash and think... 'I can't cut that..it's just too cute!!'? I know the feeling. I want to keep some of my fabric forever, but I also want to cut and sew and make to my hearts content too. I think the Fabric Bolts Quilt just might give every fabric lover and quilter the best of both worlds. You can cut into those fabrics you adore while preserving them in such a way that sings to every quilter's and sewists' heart - in the shape of fabric bolts and fat quarter stacks! I mean.. one can't have too much fabric, right? Or quilts! :)

This "Fabric Bolts Quilt" foundational paper piecing pattern is a PDF download (you will NOT receive a physical item with this purchase) and measures approximately 51"x74" when finished (paper piecing blocks are 8"x8" finished blocks). It features 40 fabric bolts and 5 fat quarter stacks sitting atop shelves just waiting for your expert fabric selecting talents! (Layer Cakes, Jelly Rolls and Charm Packs are so perfect for this quilt! See below for fabric requirements!). The top right portion of the Fabric Bolts Quilt is intentionally left open to feature whatever your heart desires (your favorite mini quilt pattern?!) or to leave as is. Additional patterns for this open space will soon be available for purchase in my Etsy shop (favorite my shop to know as soon as they are listed!): Sewing Machine, Quilt Shop/Quote Signs, Mini Quilt Wall Hanging Series, Sewing Tools, Flowers & Vases, and many more!

{Note: there are no 'Y seams' in any of the blocks}

Included in the download:

Paper piecing patterns, tips, instructions and helpful diagrams for cutting and assembling blocks and quilt. Fabric requirements, supplies needed, and a Color Your Own Quilt page for fabric planning purposes. Suggestions for variations are included as well.

You will need a printer to print the patterns in the PDF and in order to sew the quilt. A PDF reader is needed for this pattern. If you do not have one, Adobe Reader is available online, usually for free, and works with most computers. There are 33 pages in the PDF download. Some pages will be printed more than once. Please expect to print at least approx. 35+ pages of just pattern pieces.

Not included:
Basic paper piecing, quilting and binding instructions are NOT included in this PDF. Experience with foundational paper piecing and quilting/sewing, standard sewing supplies, and tools are needed to complete this quilt. However, this is a very beginner friendly pattern. (A quick search online or YouTube will pull up a great selection of helpful tutorials if you're just getting started learning paper piecing and/or quilting!).
