Item details

Welcome to my shop, TheCrochetBoxStudio and let me introduce you to my version of Princess Sofia The First, from a beloved Disney show.

This is an original crochet pattern written in English using American Standard Abbreviations and by following this pattern you can create your very own Sofia The First amigurumi doll.
Like all my other patterns, it is a fairly simple pattern. It mostly comprises of single crochet stitches, and occasionally other stitches, such as chain, slip stitch, half double crochet, double crochet, increase and decrease. Anyone who is familiar with these stitches and techniques should be able to follow it without problems. However, you do need to be quite confident with the stuffing, and keeping the tension right, and for that reason I would recommend this pattern to someone with at least intermediate crochet skills.

To make the facial features of the doll I used some basic elements of needle sculpting which are explained in the pattern. There are step by step instructions of how to shape the face, and loads of pictures to help you with getting the face right, too. Anyway, needle sculpting is much easier than you might think, and if you know how to thread, and how to hold a needle you should have no problems with it. :-)

This pattern is a PDF document. It is 28 pages long and includes detailed step by step instructions and a lot of images to provide visual help while you are making the doll. The document also includes 3 pages of general tips, and advice on creating amigurumi.

Finished size: 15 inches tall /Approx. 38 cm head to toe using bulky weight acrylic yarn, and a 4.5 mm crochet hook. These measurements will be achieved when using yarn of the same weight. (Actually, to make the doll's body I used two threads of DK yarn. I used Stylecraft Special DK). You can make the doll in a smaller/ larger size following this pattern when you use finer/ bulkier yarn.

I design my patterns very carefully and pay a lot of attention to all the details, and this pattern has been thoroughly tested. However, if you require any assistance with any part of the pattern you are always welcome to contact me any time and I will do my best to answer all your questions.

The pattern will be available for download immediately after payment has been cleared. You will receive an email from Etsy providing you a link to download the pattern.

BEFORE YOU PROCEED PLEASE NOTE THIS LISTING IS FOR THE PATTERN ONLY AND NOT THE FINISHED DOLL AND NO REFUNDS CAN BE OFFERED ON DIGITAL PURCHASES.
