Warm and stately, evoking days of old, this lovely, hand turned Curly Maple Wood Fountain Pen glows with the inner beauty of its wood grain. Smooth to the touch, and well balanced within the hand, it will offer you years of writing enjoyment, along with a wonderful sense of nostalgia.
This pen is approximately 5 1/2 inches long, with black and gold colored hardware and clip. A couple of twists of the middle of the body, and the pen opens to reveal an elegant iridium and stainless writing nub. The set includes one filled ink cartridge (blue) and one converter cartridge, so you can refill the pen from a bottle or jar of ink. A velvet storage box with hinged cover is included.
It should be noted that this is not a beginner's fountain pen, but rather, more geared toward the writer who has used one previously.
This pen would make a lovely addition to one's home or office desk, making the writing of letters feel like a special occasion - or the writing of checks for bills a little more enjoyable! This pen would also make a lovely gift. Pens are great for:
Birthdays Holidays Graduations Weddings Father’s Day Mother’s Day Teacher’s Gifts Boss’s Gifts Mortgage Signing Divorce Signing Retirement Gifts Or any other occasion where a beautiful writing instrument would be appreciated!
All my pens are hand-turned on my lathe in my home workshop, and must meet my stringent quality control department's (aka: wife's) approval. The wood surfaces of this pen have been treated and stained with Aqua Fortis to bring out the pattern, then sealed and polished to maintain the wood's natural beauty. No fancy upkeep - other than an occasional wipe with a soft, clean cloth - is needed to maintain its appearance.
I refuse to send out an inferior product!* If you are not pleased with your pen, please contact me directly. Returns (minus shipping) are accepted as long as the product wasn’t abused (like trying to pull the cap off a screw top fountain pen!) and remains in excellent condition for resale.

*General Note: I am by trade a quality inspector and quality educator. It is against my nature to sell something I do not feel is, in a word, perfect. I am usually the first to find a flaw and send the offending piece to the corner of my workshop where all the bad stuff sits. If the piece passes my critical eye, it goes to my wife; who can be even worse than I. Once work has passed by both of our inspections then we list it.
