A great original Prohibition doctor's prescription stub for Brandy...Oi (pint)...for a cold! This prescription stub was retained by the prescribing doctor and open to inspection by Federal Officers. Brandy was not prescribed very often. Please see photos!
From the days of Al Capone, speakeasies and moonshine this was the only legal way to drink liquor in the US!
The brandy was prescribed for H. S. Hunter, Jr., by Dr. Milton P. Hunter, both of Pleasantville, NY, on December 23, 1933. It was issued by the Treasury Department and when held to the light, PROHIBITION is partially watermarked.
The prescription stub measures 4 1/2" by 3" and is in excellent condition...a great ditty from the Prohibition!
This is a FANTASTIC piece of history and would be great to display in a pharmacy, museum, bar or office! I am happy to answer any questions, please feel free to email and thank you for your interest!
Pleased to combine shipping with other Prohibition Prescriptions, Liquor Licenses, Opium Forms & Pharmacy Labels. As always, many thanks to my regular customers for your continued patronage! :)
All items ship within 24 hours of payment from the United States and will arrive typically within 3 to 5 days! :)
