Please note that this listing is for the pattern PDF file ONLY; the cowl itself is not included! You can download the pattern immediately after purchasing. Your friends and family would love a gorgeous, REVERSIBLE cowl (all the pictures above show both sides of the same cowl!), especially if it was hand-knit with love by you!
The Better Than Sex Brioche Cowl pattern features a gorgeous staggered stripe design in a two-color brioche knit in the round. Learning to brioche was such a huge struggle for me, because there really aren’t many good resources out there for knitters who want to learn this technique. With this pattern, I set out to demystify brioche knitting so that even a beginner can learn! I have included detailed photo tutorials for everything you need to know about brioche, and you are more than welcome to message me with any questions you may have.
I used the amazing hand-dyed JOMA Mashmallow Rino from Fairlight Fibers. The colors are just magical and complement eachother perfectly! I also love the base, which is a deliciously squishy single-ply merino wool. It has a gorgeous thick-and-thin texture to it, so the weight varies from DK to worsted weight. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite yarns that I have ever used, and I think you will love it too! You will find a lovely variety of colorways available at http://www.fairlightfibers.com.
To use this pattern, you will need to know how to cast on, join for working in the round, knit, purl, and bind off; and I will teach you the rest! For materials, you will need about 130 yards of Color 1 and 160 yards of Color 2 in a DK to worsted (3-4) weight yarn; US size 5 (3.75mm) 16" circular knitting needles (or the size needed to obtain gauge); yarn needle; scissors, and stitch markers.
You are more than welcome to sell what you make using this pattern.
