A Riding Crop is a short type of whip without a lash. Crop consists of a long shaft which is covered in leather. The rod thickens at one end to form a handle, and terminates in a thin, flexible tress such as wound cord or a leather tongue, known as a keeper or popper (a looped flap of leather at the end). The handle ends have a nice Turkish Head design to prevent it from slipping through the user's hand. An English Crop also known as a Riding Crop has a thin popper.
