This is an authentic, original vintage 1940s Simplicity Pattern No. 2224 for a Misses' and Women's Blouse.
Outside tucks enhance the front of the back-buttoning blouse. A forward shoulder seam releases soft front fullness. Style I and II have pointed collars and Style III is finished with a bound neck edge. The sleeves may be long and gathered to a wristband or short and cuffed.
This pattern has been cut and used. Seven pieces given; all pieces present and intact. All pieces are completely usable, having been lovingly cared for. The pattern is in excellent vintage condition.
The envelope shows signs of wear, commensurate with age, with some tanning and some tatters.
This is one of the very first Simplicity printed patterns. The instructions are first-generation for this type, touted as "Simplicity Primer". They are lithograph printed with navy blue ink and folded in a square.
