Item details

A selection of * barred down feathers that were naturally shed by our free-ranging Cuckoo Marans hens. (Lot #116)

You will receive the exact feathers pictured above.

These feathers range in length from 2 to 4 inches, and have soft charcoal and white barring.

Soft, fluffy and completely natural, these high quality feathers would be excellent for a wide range of feather crafts including jewelry, hair pieces, headbands, dreamcatchers, masks, smudge fans and much more.

The Cuckoo Marans is a heritage breed of chicken originating in France. They have active, inquisitive temperaments and are good layers of dark brown eggs.

Our chickens spend their days happily free-ranging on our farm eating bugs, sun bathing, and doing everything a chicken loves to do.

If a package is returned due to buyer error, buyer is responsible for all fees and charges related to the package. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS CORRECT.

Due to the uniqueness of my clay creations, I do not offer exchanges.

Additional policies

Commissions are accepted, but please be patient - I work out of my home where I also take care of a family and a menagerie of critters. At this time we are also in the process of a house renovation and a move. Rest assured I will finish and ship your custom item as soon as possible.

I love to send project updates, so check your Etsy convos regularly.

If you see a sold item that you would like me to make, I would love to re-create it for you. While I cannot promise it will be an exact replica, I will make sure it is equally amazing! :)

I cannot sell wholesale at this time.

*CARE OF ITEMS*

Polymer clay is a very sturdy, durable and waterproof material.

All painted jewelry and sculptures are sealed with varnish, but it is advisable not to expose them to too much moisture or solvents. A damp rag is sufficient for cleaning pieces.

Clean delicate detail on sculptures very carefully, since they are the most prone to breakage.
