This is a 2-ply handspun Shetland wool yarn. It is a beautiful periwinkle blue color that measures out to a light worsted weight, but does vary some in thickness throughout. It is very soft and could easily be worn next to skin. The actual color of this yarn is slightly darker than what is shown in the photos. Please keep in mind that all screens show color differently.
I produced this yarn entirely by hand from shearing the sheep to washing, dyeing, carding, and spinning the finished yarn.
I entered this yarn into the skein contest at the Michigan Fiber Festival. It got first in its class!
