This lot of 12 handcrafted crosses is not your average thin wood crosses typically offered as findings. Each cross is top quality created from 1/4 inch thick domestic and exotic hardwoods, and measures about 2 inches long (not including the eye pin) and 1 and 1/4 inches wide. The colors and tones of the various woods used are all natural, no stain applied. Each is cut individually, sanded very, very smooth with 800 grit sand paper, and the edges are rounded slightly with a rotary tool so there are no sharp edges. A tiny hole is drilled in the top and an eye pin glued in place. Each is then finished with Danish oil which penetrates the wood and then hardens as it cures. The oil not only brings out the colors and grain but provides a very durable and long lasting finish. Comprised of 12 different woods.
Each cross is individually packaged with a card describing the process used and the species of wood.
