Perennial "Everlasting" Sweet Pea Seeds - Heirloom - Open Pollinated - Organically Homegrown - Min. 15 seeds
These beautiful perennials make excellent cut flowers. Unlike annual sweet peas, these produce long rambling vines that come back year after year. They also work well as ground cover, or can be trained up a trellis. Colors vary from shades of white to electric pink to light purple that bloom from late spring until the first frosts of fall. A stunning addition to the garden or landscape. Super easy to maintain once established! These really add a lovely pop of color to the garden.
Start indoors 4-6 weeks before average last frost, or outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked. Seeds should be planted at least 1" deep. * I recommend soaking seeds in water overnight before planting to aid germination--which can take up to 15 days. Seedlings grow fast!! Transplant into garden after danger of frost has passed. Be careful not to disturb roots when transplanting.
Perennial sweet peas seem to do well in different types of soil. May need some watering if mother nature doesn't provide enough rain. Cut back spent blooms and prune dead foliage in mid fall.
These should bloom the first year, but sometimes take until the second year if not given adequate time to establish roots in the spring.
