US orders ship via USPS Priority Mail. International orders ship via USPS International First Class .
If you desire a different shipping method, contact me and we will work something out. If you desire postal insurance to protect your package, please message me before you pay and I will add it to your shipping costs.
Please note that if you are outside the United States, your package reaches you only after passing through the hands of the kindly customs officials on your side of the border. Sometimes they want a bit of extra money from you, and sometimes they like to hold onto your package and admire it for a time. So far they have been kind to us, and I hope that your experience with them is positive! If they do take extra care with your package, I hope that you won't hold it against Studio Arethusa!
I reuse materials for shipping as much as possible to reduce my shops impact on the planet. I am lucky to have access to a local print shop's overruns and bloopers, so the cardstock and envelopes I use may have some printing on the back. Once you receive your package, it's your turn! Please reuse or recycle. Thanks! Refunds and Exchanges
In addition to PayPal and Direct Checkout, customers in the US can pay with a check or money order. I will ship when payment clears the bank. Please be aware that checks can sometimes take awhile to clear. I'll wait if you will!
If you have a preferred payment method that is not covered here, convo me and I may be able to accommodate you. I have a Square and a Dwolla account, and am always interested in what other alternatives are out there, especially methods that are easy for my international friends to use.
Since I am based in Virginia, I am required by law to collect 5.3% sale tax from anyone in this state. It will automatically be added at checkout. I am sorry about that! Shipping
Returns & exchanges
If you are unhappy with your order for any reason please contact me within 5 days of receiving your package. I will do my best to resolve the problem quickly. Refunds and exchanges are considered on a case-by-case basis. Bottom line: I want smiles.
