PDF of a vintage knitting pattern for boy's pullover in 4-ply fingering

This design dating from around 60 years ago is for a classic boy's jumper, requiring just 100 g or 125 g 4-ply fingering yarn.
The pattern indicates that it fits chest 21" to 23" / 24" to 26" chest (53.5cm to 58.5 cm / 61 cm to 66 cm). The smaller size would be considered pre-school in the UK!

Knitting needles indicated are UK size 10 and 11 (US 3, 2; metric 3.25 mm, 3 mm).

The jumper has no neck fastenings or zips or buttons, it just pulls over the boy's head. This avoids all difficult fastenings and makes for an easy sewing up!

This is the kind of garment which all English boys would own as standard out-to-play wear in chilly weather, back in the early post war years, probably knitted in wool saved when an older child's worn-out garment had been unravelled.
