This is a coyote pelt I acquired second hand from a charity thrift store, meaning those with ethical concerns such as vegans or animal welfarists may find the pelt suitable for their collections or crafts. The tan is great and the leather is durable and stretchy, however it is a bit rigid. It does not have any odd "thrift store" or "vintage" smell to it. The pelt is decently soft and appears to be recent. There is a tag full of information about the coyote, and it was harvested in 2011, but there is no information on whether or not is was tanned that year. It is, however, tanned and in pretty good condition.
**As far as mountability, the lips appear to be split and ears are turned. The leather is yellow, but still has stretch. The anus and genitals are also intact. I cannot guarantee it is mountable, so it will be sold as **Maybe mountable**. Buy and attempt to mount at your own risk, but be prepared to make it a wallhanger, headdress, or other crafts as backup. Has tons of wonderful, quality fur to use for a headdress, pillows, totem items, or other crafts, or could make a nice wall hanger or other similar decoration. I believe the cape is likely mountable, but lifesize is iffy,
