These feathers are a first for me, plucked from a wild bird that a friend brought to us. Most wild bird feathers are illegal to sell because they are protected as migratory birds or raptors or something. Pheasants are game birds, though, so they're ok to sell. This one was picked up on the side of the road in amazingly good condition. We also ate him, because we believe in using every part of the buffalo, so to speak. There is a huge variety of feathers on a pheasant, so I have done my best to include a few of each kind in each bag of 25 feathers. There are some with patterns, some with turquoise tints, some long and some small. You can see in the photos an example of what I've tried to get in each bag. As always, I washed and dried the feathers, but nothing else. This was a pretty special bird and I hope you enjoy the feathers, they're in really great condition and so beautiful!
