Fabric designed and hand-printed by our members in our workshop in Gunbalanya in West Arnhem Land, NT. The artist is paid a royalty of $5 for every metre of their design printed.
The designers: This collaborative design was created by four Kunwinkjku dalukdaluk (women) artists, Priscilla Badari, Lynne Nadjowh, Sylvia Badari and Katra Nganjmirra.
The design: Bederrbung Duruk - Cheeky Dogs 2017 Dogs are a feature of remote community life. Every household has a number of resident dogs who tend to hang about in happy gangs. When strangers approach the dogs are prone to be 'cheeky' - make a lot of noise and potentially bite. This is one of our newest designs, only finished in October 2017 so does not have a design story yet.
