When a huge branch cracked off of our Eucalyptus Tree here in San Diego, serendipity struck and gave me access to all of the attached treasures, gifts of nature so to speak. There were lots of these, which aren't usually found until they have been weather-beaten, run over by cars, nibble on by critters, but I was able to cut them off while they were nice and fresh.
I have seen the front of these sawed off and a cabochon gem of some kind inserted into the center opening. I guess they could be made into ornaments, either left natural or treated with some kind of finish that will give it a kind of sheen. Some people sire them up and place them in arrangements. If you do a search for these on Easy or Pinterest, you can look for something that might interest you or inspire you.
These are listed in pairs of two and are triple pods that look like bells to me! I could give them a satin finish, tie a loop and/or bow to the top and call them an ornament which would look so fabulous on a tree with a natural theme. I'm sure you could find other uses for these in a mobile or a collage or assemblage.
These are listed as a pair of jumbo triples. If you cut them apart, you would have a total of six individual ones.
shipped on time and just as described. super cool!
