In found vintage condition, this is a fantastic Edwardian and very long flathead screwdriver. With its beautifully polished wooden handle and steel shaft it's gloriously tactile and the rounded end fits in your hand ever so snugly. The top of the shaft is stamped "ThosWales & Sons Sheffield" who were edged tool and auger manufacturers working in Sheffield around the turn of the 20th Century.
The screwdriver measures 1ft long long in total, the handle is about 1 1/2" in diameter and the flathead end is 1/2" wide. There are marks and scratches to the wood and to the steel, but at over 100 years old this is only to be expected.
Whether you want it as a cool piece of industrial decor for a man cave or shed, or if you want to use it for screwing things in far away it really is a beautiful hand tool that you won't be able to stop touching!
