Learn the helm’s weave pattern in just 3 short, repeatable steps. Then learn how to string crystals in between your jump rings to give your new bracelet some flash!
Skill level for this project is “Determined Beginner.” Some previous wire work or chainmaille experience is highly recommended. Instructions for basic skills such as the proper way to open and close a jump ring, or how to attach a clasp, are not included.
Materials required to make bracelet: Jump rings: qty 32 to 40 aluminum jump rings. Size 20-gauge, 5/32” I.D. (SWG) Jump rings: qty 47 to 59 aluminum jump rings. Size 18-gauge, 9/32” I.D. (SWG) Crystal beads: qty 14 to 18: 6mm, bicone crystal beads Wire: qty 14” 24-gauge, round, craft wire (silver color) Clasp Paperclip or scrap piece of craft wire
Required Tools: 2 pair of chain nose pliers -or- one pair of chain nose and one pair of flat nose pliers Wire cutters
