Two carved stone trim pieces (called Chair Rails) are pricey when bought retail, but these discontinued styles have never been used; they are in great condition and at a nice price. They are made from different stones, although similar coloring.
Craftsmen or tile installers: Use for tile jobs: a minor repair, add or patch a missing trim piece, when an exact match is not crucial. The simple style is traditional or transitional. The finish is honed, or matte. Installation with clay based thinset recommended.
One is of Botticino marble, with chunks of quartz and orange and pinky veins. Photo 3 One is of limestone, an oatmeal color with fragments of ancient shells and fossils. Photo 4
A note about color: this is a nice neutral, and will go with today's soft grays or beige color schemes. It's not golden like most travertine, and it is not a true grey. Oatmeal colored is a good description.
