Pressed for time and want to make something special and homemade? My pre-cut charm packs are perfectly cut and ready for you to piece together.
For sale is a pack of 48 – 6.5 inch squares that will make an approximately 35 x 47 inch patchwork quilt. This would be a wonderful and very thoughtful baby shower gift and something cherished by a little one for a lifetime!
Fabric has been prewashed, but I recommend washing on cold and drying low or line drying to prevent further shrinking. Ironing can be done if needed.
Super cute and much larger than I though it would be! HM is my favorite!
For most items you will have the ability to choose what type of shipping you would like. If you need your item by a certain date please check processing times and select correct shipping. I will not expedite shipping unless it has been paid for. Once the package has shipped it is out of my control and is in the hands of the USPS. If there are problems with shipping I will help as best as I can, but please understand that I am unable to control shipping.
Processing time The time I need to prepare an order for shipping varies. For details, see individual items.
International Shipping, Customs and Import Taxes Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs. When shipping internationally I recommend purchasing at least Priority Mail International. First Class International may not be tracked once it has left the United States and delivery time varies from location. Typically it can take 4-8 weeks, and I can not guarantee arrival. Due to the package not having tracking all first class international packages will not be refunded due to missing packages, please keep this in mind when selecting your shipping option.
Payments must be completed prior to item being mailed. You have 12 hours from the payment time to cancel your payment but a 10% fee will be removed.

How are prices for handmade figured out?
In the handmade world we've heard comments like "I've been to JoAnn's and I've seen the price of fabric, why is your bag so much?" "I could buy a bag for more than half the price at a store" etc. I wanted to share with you what exactly goes into the products and determines the pricing.
Let's talk about our purse bags. First we'll start with the obvious - fabric. Fabric at JoAnn's is typically $6-12 a yard, on sale. Designer quilting fabrics are around $9-17 a yard, plus shipping. Custom fabrics run about $25-30 a yard, plus shipping. Don't forget I'll need fabric for the outside and the inside. Now fabric isn't the only thing that we use to create the bag. We may also use... • Vinyl, $12-27 a yard • Heavy Interfacing • Ultra Firm Interfacing • Midweight Interfacing • Fleece/Foam • Zippers • Rivets • Rings/Hooks Hardware
We also need to consider the price of these supplies... • Thread • Needles • Bobbins • Scissors • Rotary Cutter/Blades • Rotary Mat • Pens/Marking Tools • Pins/Clips • Patterns • Sewing Machine • Iron/Ironing Board
Now on top of that, I need to pay myself or employee for the time it takes to make the bag. No one works for free. Oh and then there is the cost of shipping bags, business cards, thank you cards, stickers, tissue paper, printer, ink, paper, advertising, props, craft shows, website fees and credit card processing fees.
This is the typical formula you will see online: Supplies + Labor = Item Cost Item Cost x Markup = Wholesale Price Wholesale Price x Markup = Retail Price If I sold items at cost I would ultimately loose money and go out of business. Markup covers the supplies like sewing machine, thread, bobbins, needles, printer, iron, cards etc. and profit. The recommended markup is 1.5-2.5.
Just for fun lets apply the recommended formulas compared to our pricing
Small Zip Bag $7 Exterior Fabric - JoAnn $0.18 Interior Fabric - JoAnn $0.08 Heavy Interfacing $0.04 7" Zipper $0.14 Total Material Cost $0.87 Labor Time - 25 min at $10/hour Item Cost - $5.01 ($0.87 + $4.14) Wholesale Price - $10.02 ($5.01 x 2) Retail Price - $20.04 ($10.94 x 2)
Perdita Diaper Bag • $85.00 Exterior Fabric - Custom $8.89 Interior Fabric - JoAnn $4.36 Sparkle Vinyl $5.87 Heavy Interfacing $2.50 Midweight Interfacing $0.40 Fusible Fleece 7" Zipper $0.47 14" Zipper $0.55 Rectangle Loops $2.30 Total Material Cost $26.64 Labor Time - 3.5 hours, at $10/hour Item Cost - $66.64 ($26.64 + $35) Wholesale Price - $133.28 ($66.64 x 2) Retail Price - $266.56 ($133.28 x 2)
I obviously don't use this formula to create my pricing (seen in bold next to the item name). I want to give my customers the best value as possible, but still make a small profit. I hope you found this interesting and informative. As always if you ever have questions please don't hesitate to ask!!
