This is mohair from our “blue” angora goat, Regina Blackhorn! She is 3 years old. She is the sweetheart of our farm and has a lovely fleece which washed to nearly white but I would call it a very light gray. It is soft and does have some black hairs mixed within. The staple length averages 4” but some slightly longer/shorter. Some areas of tighter curls and some clouds. I washed this in a mild shampoo, dried it in the sun and then used a swing picker to open locks and remove debris such as small bits of straw or hay. See last photo for how this fiber looks spun up. I kept a little for myself!
