Item details

This is a Simplicity pattern 4076. There is a skating costume and also tap dance trunks. It includes a blouse, circle skirt, weskit/vest, and trunks. It's a girl's size 12. The envelope is tattered, but all the pieces are there. There are even duplicate pieces cut out of a 1963 Dayton, OH newspaper.

*I believe that vintage should be affordable. This is why I keep my prices low. I have a very slim margin. Many items come from my own closet, and are priced lower than what I actually paid. Because of this, I do not offer discounts.

*I weigh all of my items before packaging them. I put that weight in the calculated shipping section. What you see as the price is for shipping is exactly what it will be for me to ship. Overseas shipping is expensive, but it's what the postal service charges.

*Please see my polices for other frequently asked questions.

FAQs

I ship Monday through Friday except for holidays. I try to get my items out the next day, but may take up to two days to ship.

I do not offer discounts on my already low prices.

I try to mention all flaws I see. If I have not stated flaws, then I did not see any. I am human, however, and may miss something. But, I try to carefully look things over when I list them. Remember, that these items are vintage. So, many are not in brand new condition.

I do not offer returns unless I grossly missed a flaw. Please double check the listing for measurements, any flaws listed, and thoroughly look at the photos. If you have a question about fit, please contact me prior to purchase.

I try to be as honest as I can. This includes not changing the item's value on the label. I would be held accountable if something happened, and I'm not willing to take that chance.

I usually ship via USPS within two business days, Monday - Friday except for holidays. For example, if an item is purchased on Friday, it will ship out on Monday, unless Monday is a holiday. If I am going to be late in shipping, I will send you a message letting you know. If this is not acceptable to you, you may cancel your purchase.

Insurance is optional, but if you would like insurance, please contact me prior to purchase. If you have a specific way or method you would like your item shipped, please let me know.

International shipping: I weigh each of my items prior to listing. I then choose a calculated shipping rate. On January 1, 2016, the United States Postal Service greatly increased international shipping rates. I have no control over these shipping rates. I do not charge handling fees. What you see in the shipping tab is what shipping will be. I understand that international shipping is expensive, but I cannot change that price.

Custom fees is the responsibility of the buyer. I will not change the price of the item on the shipping label. Please, keep in mind, if something happened, that change would be on me. I'm not willing to take that responsibility. I cannot lower my price to compensate for custom fees. So, please take into consideration all fees prior to purchase.

Returns & exchanges
I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Additional return information
I cannot control what happens to a package after it is in the hands of the post office. I try to pack my items carefully (plastic shipping bags when available, and padding when needed). If you want insurance, please specify prior to purchase. Refunds are provided if the item is misrepresented. If you have an issue with an item, please contact me. If you have any questions about the item, please contact me prior to purchasing. Communication is key.

I sell vintage items, most of which are 50 years old and older. Although I inspect all of my items, the material these things are made from are old. I do not know if or when they will rip or tear from use - proper or improper use. This is the nature of vintage and antique wares. I cannot be held responsible if an item fails after being worn. The purchaser needs to be aware of the possibility of such things. When purchasing, you are buying an as is item. I state all flaws I see in my listings. Unless there is a glaring flaw (such as a large rip or stain) upon receipt of item, I will not accept returns after the item has been worn.

If I have made an error, and there is a visible flaw not mentioned in the listing (such as stain bigger than pencil eraser, a rip larger than 1/2", etc.) please contact me within 24 hours of receipt of item.

Additional policies

I have been collecting for over 20 years. I started when things were in abundance at thrift stores and vintage was not a trend. I hate to pay high prices for vintage. I feel that vintage should be affordable for those who are passionate about it. With that, I strive to keep my prices low and affordable. I have very little profit margin or wiggle room. With everything around us becoming costly, my goal is to pass on vintage pieces at modest prices. With that being said, one of the most common questions I get is about discount. Due to my low prices, I do not offer discounts. Unfortunately, because I have gotten this question so often, I will no longer respond to requests.
