2-ply yarn is an all-purpose yarn, best suited for stockinette and lace items. The structure of 2-ply really makes lace shine. The yardage here would be perfect for a small shawl, cowl, hat, thick slipper socks, or mittens.
Polwarth wool is an absolute favorite of mine - it's super soft and makes a lovely next-to-skin fiber. It's poofy and and warm and a pure pleasure to knit and crochet with.
