Modern finnish style puukko with wooden handle and leather sheath. Made completely by me. The blade is hand forged from 0.8% carbon steel and tempered to excellent hardeness for a knife blade. The blade is sharpened and polished. It cut through 2+ mm thick leaher easily in my tests. Blade is aproximately 10cm long.
Handle is made from juniper and ash wood with brass end caps. It is handled with wax for a waterdrop- and dirt resistant surface. Sheath is made with sturdy brown leather and it has an wooden inner blade cover/protector and a blet loop. The knife fits perfectly to the sheath and will not fall off with its own weight.
This knife is suitable for allmost every task from carving wood to gutting a moose. Knives this type are commonly used by hunters, fishermen, woodworkers, buscrafters and numerous hobbyists in the nordic countries.
