Item details

No nylon for you! Do we have the sock yarn, Lake House Fingering, in four delicious plies of supersoft, superwash, merino wool! This is a glorious yarn to work with, for socks, the four plies will keep them strong, shawls, mitts, scarves, even sock weight hats! The smooth plies make this an excellent yarn for colorwork, or cables.

We use professional acid dyes in our in-home dye studio. The bright colors will last, I suggest washing by hand and drying flat. Most colorways do not stripe, or pool, however some do and we will always note that

One of the wonderful things about artisanal dyeing is like the proverbial snowflake, no two are exactly alike. If you wish to order more than one skein, please alternate skeins to assure a picture perfect finished project.

The base yarn, Lake Superior Sock, is soft superwash merino, 75%, with 25% nylon for strength in four plies.

-Four Ply Fingering Weight Yarn

- 100% Superwash Merino Wool

- Approximately 438 yards, in a 100 gram skein

- More than enough yardage for a pair of socks, or small shawl.

- All Yarn is Re-Skeined to ensure no knots, or tangles.
- Cat friendly home, non-smoking environment. If you have a serious cat allergy, please let us know. We will do everything possible to make sure you do not get yarn with as little as possible contact with cat dander. We work hard to make sure the cats never come in contact with the yarn, but we make extra sure for people with allergies.
Liedel Fiber Art yarn makes a great gift for your knitting, or crocheting friends and family! Each skein is wrapped in eco-friendly tissue paper and is closed with a pretty sticker. I am happy to include a small gift card at no additional cost. Just let me know in a convo.

Estimated Shipping
Shipping to
Zip or postal code

We ship via USPS when appropriate. Otherwise you can state your preference for another carrier. If this increases cost, I will give you an option prior to mailing. I ship internationally, the least expensive way. We ask that any purchase over fifty dollars be insured. Believe me, this makes life easier and offers a headache free existence for everyone. Packages are shipped three times a week. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Payments

We accept PayPal and Etsy Payments. If you are using an E-check, it must clear, prior to shipment. Michigan buyers will be taxed. We'd love to skip this part, but Lansing likes to check that we're compliant with tax codes and honestly, we want to participate in the growth of our state.

If you wish to cancel an order, please do so as soon as possible. We cannot cancel a shipped order. Custom dye orders are not eligible for cancellation once the yarn has been dyed.

Returns & exchanges

We have a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee on everything, but pdf files. If your product is not to your liking, arrives damaged, or isn't quite what you want, let us know through convo right away.We are happy to send you a new one, or refund your money, less shipping costs. A happy customer is the best advertising we can get!

Additional policies

Our aim is to deliver delight. All colorways are photographed to the best possible match. Monitors can change things and different dye lots will affect the color. As with all hand-dyed products some variations may occur. Please let us know if this lot is not what you are expecting. We will try our best to match your expectations. We do look at the photos on two monitors and in different browsers so every photo is as honest as possible.
