1. The second is an early 1920's vintage compass saw. The single-edge blade has no company or brand markings on it.
2. The first is a vintage 1937 Sheffield cable Saw. The double-edged blade in engraved with "Sheffield Saw Wks., Indpls USA." Sheffield was a secondary brand under the E.C. Atkins & Co., a major American saw and tool manufacturer in Indianapolis, Indiana which closed in 1952.
Both make a great piece for the woodworking carpenter or vintage tool collector in your life in your life. I've refinished and hand-painted both handles.
