In Sweden, one of the biggest celebrations is St. Lucia's Day which occurs on December 13th. Lucia is known as the bearer of light and food to the persecuted Christians who were hiding in the catacombs of Rome. As the story goes, she wore candles in her hair to leave both hands free for carrying food.

In many Swedish homes on the morning of the 13th, the oldest daughter, dressed in the traditional garb of a white dress, red sash and a green wreath with candles, carries sweets to all in their beds.

Adopt this tradition in a safe way with this felt wreath and candles, guaranteed to never burn the ones you love. Two shades of leaves and contrasting berries create charming effect as this wreath adorns your oldest daughter's head. With the beautiful red ribbon ties, no head is the wrong size. The wreath is 16 inches long (not including ribbon ties) and 5 inches high with an additional 6 inches for the candles (including flame).
