We raise certified organic Border Leicester Romney sheep in the Champlain Islands of Vermont on our small diversified, certified organic conserved family farm. Our sheep are rotationally grazed on our lush pasture throughout the spring, summer, and fall. In the winter, they hang out in the barnyard eating hay and play on snow piles with our children. We think this is why they have such beautiful, soft, cuddly fleeces. Our yarn is spun right here in Vermont at the Green Mountain Spinnery, where the wool is processed into yarn with certified organic vegetable-based soaps and oils in a turn of the century cooperatively owned mill.
Our natural line is colored by the sheep themselves white and brown fleeces - Each year is a different “dyelot.”
