Item details

This is a group of 5 naturally dyed 12 mm charmeuse silk pieces. There are inconsistencies in the color and/or pattern of each piece.
These de-stash silk pieces were hand dyed by me with indigo, logwood and weld leaf dyes.
Three of these began as silk scarves and have hand rolled hems along the sides. One has been cut short.
*The logwood and indigo ripple-patterned scarf measures about 7" x 50". It has some unintended speckles and areas of inconsistent color. It has not been cut and could still be used as a scarf.
*The plain logwood purple has lots of dark speckles. It measures approximately 7" x 20".
*The indigo and white absrtact shibori piece measures approximately 9" x 25"
*The blue-green piece has many areas of uneven color. It measures about 10" x 25".
*The blue and white shibori scarf has speckles and areas of uneven color. It measures approximately 7" x 50". It has not been cut and could still be used as a scarf.

I've done my best to portray the true colors of these naturally dyed silk pieces.
The colors seem to shift slightly depending on the light in which they are seen.
Please keep in mind that each monitor displays color in its' own way.

These fabrics can be used for any textile art project that could use a touch of lovely, natural color.
I recommend hand washing in cool water with mild soap and line drying in the shade to preserve the delicate luster and color of the silk.
