This listing is for 1 skein of Bijou Basin Ranch's soft, Himalayan Trail yarn in a color that's no longer available - a gorgeous blue-green / light teal / aquamarine. The photographs don't do the color justice.
I have 2 total for sale. (I found out I have a wool allergy, otherwise I'd use them myself :) Ships from a smoke-free home.
From the company: "Beautiful hand feel, soft and warm and wearable is this classic Merino Blend. With 75% Pure Yak for huggable softness and 25% Merino for classic knittability, this yarn is a dream to work with and can be used for almost any project you can imagine. All natural colors. Yak fiber is warmer than wool and softer than cashmere, making it the perfect partner for the classic lightweight Merino."
Care Instructions: Hand wash, dry flat for best results.
The majority of proceeds from the sale of this item will go toward purchasing more materials (and shipping costs) for the comfort blankets I make for Project Linus in Hawaii and Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. http://www.ProjectLinus.org/ is a national non-profit that distributes handmade blankets to seriously ill & traumatized children & teens to help comfort them. As someone who has dealt with Chronic PTSD for more than 30 years, this is a cause that is close to my heart. Pine Ridge Reservation is the poorest area in the United States as well as one of the coldest, which is why I make warm blanket squares, hats, and scarves to donate there as well.
Please visit my other shop - http://DoniaLillyFineArt.etsy.com to see my fine art metal prints & canvas giclees. (In my other life, I was a professional artist for 15+ years but can no longer paint due to my recent disability, so I took up crochet since I can do it laying down & easily pick up where I left off when I have to stop due to pain or fatigue).
