Shipping costs include shipping and handling fees, not just shipping. Many times, I count the items myself and I package them myself. This takes time which is why I also charge handling fees.
If you would like faster shipping and/or insurance please let me know so I can modify the shipping cost. If insurance is not agreed by the seller and buyer, any damage on the items is not responsibility of the seller.
My policy is to ship within 24 hours of cleared payment in the USA and 48 hours for international packages, this can vary depending on the stock availability of the item, or for an emergency situation. The only time when the 24-48 hour period extends is if it is mentioned on the listing or if it is later on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, shipping will be on the following Monday.
Also, packages will not be mailed on USPS Federal Holidays. Here are the 2017 Federal Holidays when items will not be shipped until the next business day:

Payments are made via PayPal or via credit/debit card through Etsy checkout. Payment should be made at the time of purchase unless you contact me to make other arrangements (I will usually cancel a sale if payment is not made within 3-5 business days). I will wait for all payment methods to clear before I ship the items bought.
To use PayPal you do not have to have a PayPal account, you only need to pay through their secure website. There you can use your checking account or credit cards.
I also accept card payments over the phone or in person. In the same way, I accept money orders, direct deposits, and checks.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
Custom or personalized orders
Perishable products (like food or flowers)
Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Unfortunately, I do not accept returns. If your charms or items are damaged let me know and I will substitute them as soon as possible (if they are factory related damages and are within the 30 days in US and 60 days Internationally since the purchase). If the damages are not factory related damages or if the damages occured while in transition (shipping), and insurance was not quoted, the responsibility of the condition of the items is no longer of the seller. I want my customers to be happy with their items! I use bubble wrap and try to protect the packages in the best way possible. If this is something you are concerned about, contact me for an insurance quote on your package. If we do agree upon a refund, the refund charges will only be for the cost of the items, not for the cost of the shipping of the item.
I also do not issue returns (or refunds), but if this is agreed upon due to defective pieces, then pictures will be required to show the defective or damaged pieces.
If an issue is not settled within 30 days of the purchase (within the US and Canada) and 60 days of the purchase (Internationally other than Canada), the seller has no fault of any damages, defects, errors or any other issue regarding the sale.
