This sweet wide Pine board has already been finished and is ready for use upon delivery. It has a nice flowing appearance and to help continue the curved look I did not re-cut the edges, so one one side of the board it is about 45 1/2" long and the other side is about 48" long. Due to the live edges of this thin slab, the two ends are about 20" wide and at it's widest point in between it is about 22" wide. It is 1" thick, though on one side of the board it thins down to about 1/2" thick with a slight wrapped affect. It could be cut off, but I left it as is, I thought it added character, it was my intention to use this a top for one of my own projects, not to sell. But, that project has since been abandoned and this top now is available for your project. Please be sure to look at the last image, I tried to show the curvedness of this end.
One side of this thin live edge slab has been lightly sprayed with black spray paint then mostly sanded off. The black that is left helps to show off the grain and add some interesting character to the top. This slab was cut by a band saw type portable sawmill and has blade marks throughout the board, the black helps to show some of them off, though they were sanded down considerably in the process. The reverse side did not have as much material removed while being sanded and with correct glare of the sun - as shown in image #9 - is very noticeable. This side is smooth, it was originally going to be the down side of the table so I didn't remove all the blade marks.
Both sides have been given three applications of a satin Polyurethane. It is ready to be used in your project upon delivery. If you don't have legs or a base for it yet - I can help create a custom piece for you - I have many options available that may work, send me a message with what you are looking for and I'll look around and may have what you like. I also have other options for wood, live edge slabs of varying widths, lengths, and thickness as well as old wide barn wood and thick beams, too. I will respond to your request as quickly as possible, message me with the details of what you need.
So if you are searching for a long, wide, thin slightly curvaceous Pine -prefinished slab that needs nothing to be done to it upon receipt, ready for use as a sensational top for a your table project - or whatever project- it's a nice board for any woodworking project, then you may have just found it, because this baby needs a great home and to be part of a fabulous new project.
