Item details

Skill Level: Intermediate

This Hot Water Bottle Cover was inspired by the traditional fisherman knits of the Aran Isles. The diamond pattern is reminiscent of the fisherman nets and the picot stitching around the top edge is like the waves so familiar to men of the sea.

This crochet pattern calls for ½ of a large ball of Lily® Sugar'n Cream [100% Cotton [400 g (14 oz)/650 meters (710 yds) per ball], a 4.25 mm (G) crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge ), a 3.00 mm crochet hook, a yarn needle, and 4 Beads. You should be comfortable with the following stitches: single crochet, double crochet and front post treble crochet.

The Aran Hot Water Bottle measures approximately 35 cm (14”) long and 22 cm (8 3/4”) wide. Fits a standard size hot water bottle.

This pattern will make a nice weekend project!

It says sold out...but if it is just a pdf download how can it be sold out?

Etsy was designed more for selling product than it was for selling PDF files, so although there is no limit to how many patterns we sell we have to manually relist each pattern after it has sold. Also, even though the pattern may be listed else where in our etsy shop the specific pattern that you are looking at will still come up as sold out.

If a pattern says sold out it will just be a short time before the pattern is relisted, or you can find other listings of the same pattern by shopping by section found on the top left hand side of your screen.
