This tutorial is for a 10 strand 'Laramie' braid Bracelet. Laramie is a variation of an old European straw-plaiting braid, that was adapted by Shirley Berlin and Carol Godwin for the Kumihimo disk.
The tutorial will contain the layout pattern as well as the basic instructions of Kumihimo braiding with 10 strands. It will produce a braid with a very distinctive spiral pattern in 2 colours and a randon sparkle of metallic thread.
The pattern will produce a braid approximately 9.5 inch (24 cm) long so that the final length can be adjusted before the clasp is fitted.
This is a PDF tutorial only; you will need to supply your own kumihimo equipment ie Kumihimo Disk, Kumihimo thread, Metallic thread, Clasp, Kumihimo weight (or bag of coins weighing 45g) and Zap Gel Glue. You will also need Adobe Acrobat to open and view this file.
