Item details

At last! The popular Ezy Underall for 13 to 14 1/2" dolls! Aren't familiar with the underall? It's a versatile basic to wear underneath all the darling clothes in dolly's closet! A one piece, unitard or 'cat suit', the Underall will solve the problem of what to pair with this and that. This pattern includes THREE separate sizes -
Squirts, Hearts and Darlings. Squirts size fits 14 1/2" dolls such as the popular American Girl brand Wellie Wisher. Hearts size fits the 14" Hearts for Hearts dolls and Darlings size fits 13" dolls such as Dianna Effner's Little Darlings. (Additionally, you'll find that the pattern fits many other dolls too, including Corolle's Les Cherie, Paola Reina, Sylvia Natterer's Minouche, Melissa and Doug's 14" Mine to Love dolls, and more!)

Please note: The underall is designed for 4 way stretch knit fabrics - excellent stretch and recovery is a must!

The Ezy Underall cuts the short or 3/4 sleeves all-in-one with the garment. If you're familiar with my Ezy T it's the same great idea. You also get a choice of short legs, below-the-knee or capri length legs, too! There is no fussy elastic and no messy closures. The Ezy Underall pulls on easily with a low, open back.

Perfect for dance or gymnastics, great for playtime, too. Dress it up by using a stretch velvet and add the dainty picot edge scallop stitch.

Because that picot edge stitch looks so great on the Ezy Underall I'm throwing in my recently updated worksheet for that, too!

Want more? Add a headband or belt made from Fold Over Elastic. A bonus worksheet for this, and a felt flower puff is included.

Don't forget the photo gallery to get your creative mind dreaming up more possibilities. More than just photos - you'll find notes and measurements on fabric sources, how-to's for scarves, legwarmers and a 'faux' drop seat flap.

You'll need 1/3 yard of 4 way stretch fabric, such as swim Lycra blends, stretch velvet or cotton/Lycra blend jersey. (Capri or short leg garments take only 1/4 yard) Belts or headbands require 7 to 10" inches of foldover elastic and a 4.5" square of felt.

No serger is required, and serger instructions are not included. You'll stitch with a standard zigzag stitch.

This pattern assumes basic sewing skills but you'll receive detailed instructions with photos. My patterns are written in an easy, conversational style. Imagine I'm right there with you at the machine!

This listing is for a sewing pattern, NOT an actual garment. Photos shown are samples only, and may depict a few ideas that are not included in the pattern.

Test garments were designed to fit the dolls listed, but you may find that the patterns work for other dolls, too - with or without slight alterations.

Pattern is a PDF format with immediate download available after purchase. Remember to print with size set at 100%, 'actual size' or 'no margins'. This insures that your pattern will print true to size. (note: the picot worksheet is included in the pattern file pdf, and is also listed as a separate file, in case you'd like to store it separately for easy access.)

This pattern is for your use only. It may not be published, sold or shared. You may sell items you make with the pattern; no mass production, please. If you sell online, please credit Janie Carroll Designs.

''Ezy Underall' is an original work by Jane Wilkes of Janie Carroll Designs. A big thank you to my pattern test team, this pattern would not exist without their valuable support!

PLEASE NOTE: I am not affiliated with any doll company in any way.

The Ezy Underall pairs beautifully with the Criss-Cross Overtop. You may purchase that pattern separately, or look for my bundle pack including these 2 designs and SAVE.
