This handmade patch is machine embroidered onto felt, using a mixture of threads to add texture, cut out by hand and finished with an iron on backing. All my patches are designed and made by me - no outsourcing! - so there may be small variations.
Size - approximately 10cm from head to foot and 8.4cm wide (that's about 3.9" by 3.3").
Easily applied with a hot iron or can be sewn on - full instructions come with the patch. There is a photograph of the instructions above so you can check before you buy.
This patch would look good on jeans or a shirt, or you could add it to a plain cushion (pillow) cover. Or why not iron it onto a pretty piece of fabric and mount in a hoop or frame for a special little picture?
This is one of a set of 4 bird patches inspired by the drawings on a 10th century Persian dish. You can read a bit more about it, and the other pieces I made, in this article by TextileArtist .org
