This is an updated version of an older pattern GW JA001. A longer length, with longer sleeves and pockets make a very cosy wrap jacket. The new, longer version is from dyed, handspun wool for warp and weft, sett 7.5dpi.
Both jackets were hand woven on an Ashford 20in (50cm) rigid heddle loom, showing that you can easily weave fabric for garments using very simple equipment. The shorter version has a cotton warp and handspun alpaca and silk 2ply weft, sett 7.5dpi.
