DESCRIPTION: This is a VERY heavy, solid, rectangular box in solid brushed copper. I don't think it is vintage, and I have NO IDEA what it was originally designed for, but it could be used for a variety of things, from storing your crafting supplies to an interesting floral design container, to a planter. Your imagination is the limit. The finish is brushed copper sealed with lacquer or some sort, but the clear finish has come off the lid. If you want to remove the finish from the rest of the box, you will need gloves, cotton balls, and some acetone (nail polish remover). The sealant on the lid came off with relative ease. The box stands just under 7-3/4" tall and 5" across, measuring it as square, rather than a diagonal. The sides of the box and lid are beveled. There are holes and grooves to screw the lid on if you like, and the bottom is screwed into place. If anybody KNOWS what this was originally intended for, please tell me!
CONDITION: Very good; no dents or dings, just not completely sealed with clear finish. Very heavy and nice quality, ready for who-knows-what.
