Item details

This listing is for a really neat tibetan style spindle made by us. This spindle is made from a nice piece of spalted marblewood for the whorl and local cherry for the shaft. The whorl has been polished with a beeswax and linseed oil finish and the shaft has an oil finish, for a nice grip and silky finish. It weighs about 1.7 ounces and measures about 1 3/4" across at the widest point and is about 10" in length. The point has been hardened for lots of use and It has been balanced for a long fast spin. This one is a bit heavier, and would be great for plying.

Our spindles are from a smoke-free home, but we do have a variety of pets. Thanks so much for looking!

Average review
This is a world class spindle. The woods are lovely and very interesting to look at. The craftsmanship is impeccable. The weight feels great in your hands and the spin is fast and the balance true. The price is unbelievably modest for what you receive. These spindles are truly a labor of love. This is my first, but by no means my last. Thank-you so much
