"Angels, in the early morning May be seen the Dews among, Stooping -- plucking -- smiling -- flying -- Do the Buds to them belong?" ~Emily Dickinson
A blonde haired angel in a periwinkle dress holds a bouquet of roses in her arms. The roses are from my own handmade murrini. Somewhat translucent white wings adorn the sides of the bead. Tiny "roses" and turquoise orbs decorate her heavenly hair. The base bead is purple rose with some devitrification (crystallization) on the surface, lending a frosty, lighter shade in areas. Your angel arrives packaged in an elegant crystal-cut plastic box.
Bead measures approx. 39 mm or aprox. 1 and 1/2 inches high. Made on a 3/32 mandrel. This bead was shaped by hand without a press. My photos are taken inside with an LED light so the bead color may look slightly different in photos than the actual bead in person. I edit my photos to try to get the colors and contrast as close as possible. If you have any questions, please ask.
For those of you not familiar with lampwork, I start by melting and blending multiple colors of glass and pulling into stringers before I even begin work on the main bead. This helps create shading and more of a detailed look to my work. I use glass rods imported from Italy and Germany as well as special reactive glass made right here in the USA. My works are all one-of-a-kind creations made in my Michigan studio. Annealed in a digitally controlled kiln. I edit the photos as close as possible to the actual color of the bead, but please allow for slight color differences. Shipping costs include packaging and handling.
*** Please keep glass beads away from small children as they may pose a choking hazard. This is glass and can break so please use caution when wearing and avoid temperature extremes.
